Installation Information
The PC-TRACK is distributed in the ZIP file called PCT.ZIP.
When installed it takes approx. 2 MB of disk space. It will
reside in any subdirectory you desire, and uses two sub-
directories under it, one called GRAPHICS, and one called DATA.
This version of PC-TRACK was archived using a zip file format, with
the subdirectory structure preserved using the PKZIP switches -rp. To
make sure these directories get properly installed on your system,
you need to utilize the PKUNZIP -d switch, which will recreate those
subdirectories automatically when unarchiving.
In other words, to install PC-TRACK, follow the following example...
If the distribution file (PCT.ZIP) is in your b: floppy drive and you
wish to install on your c: hard disk in a subdirectory called
PCTRACK, do the following:
0. Make sure you are in the C: drive:
c: <CR>
1. Create a subdirectory called PCTRACK:
cd \ <CR>
md PCTRACK <CR>
2. Change to that directory:
cd PCTRACK <CR>
3. Unarchive the package into the current directory using the -d
switch: (this assumes that you have the PKUNZIP.EXE program
available somewhere in your current path)
PKUNZIP -d b:PCT <CR>
4. PCTRACK should be successfully installed with two new
subdirectories created under it (called DATA and
GRAPHICS).
5. PCTRACK is now ready to run. Type:
PCT <CR>
6. Read the provided documentation. (.DOC files)
7. Register! (see REGISTER.DOC)
8. Enjoy!
