  7. Installation Information
  8.  
  9. The PC-TRACK is distributed in the ZIP file called PCT.ZIP.  
  10. When installed it takes approx. 2 MB of disk space. It will 
  11. reside in any subdirectory you desire, and uses two sub-
  12. directories under it, one called GRAPHICS, and one called DATA.
  13.  
  14. This version of PC-TRACK was archived using a zip file format, with 
  15. the subdirectory structure preserved using the PKZIP switches -rp. To 
  16. make sure these directories get properly installed on your system, 
  17. you need to utilize the PKUNZIP -d switch, which will recreate those 
  18. subdirectories automatically when unarchiving.

  20. In other words, to install PC-TRACK, follow the following example...
  21.  
  22. If the distribution file (PCT.ZIP) is in your b: floppy drive and you 
  23. wish to install on your c: hard disk in a subdirectory called 
  24. PCTRACK, do the following:
  25.  
  26.   0. Make sure you are in the C: drive:
  27.             c: <CR>
  28.  
  29.   1. Create a subdirectory called PCTRACK:
  30.             cd \ <CR>
  31.             md PCTRACK <CR>
  32.  
  33.   2. Change to that directory:
  34.             cd PCTRACK <CR>
  35.  
  36.   3. Unarchive the package into the current directory using the -d 
  37.      switch: (this assumes that you have the PKUNZIP.EXE program 
  38.      available somewhere in your current path)
  39.  
  40.              PKUNZIP -d b:PCT  <CR>
  41.  
  42.   4. PCTRACK should be successfully installed with two new 
  43.      subdirectories created under it (called DATA and 
  44.      GRAPHICS).
  45.  
  46.   5. PCTRACK is now ready to run. Type:
  47.               PCT <CR>
  48.  
  49.   6. Read the provided documentation. (.DOC files)
  50.  
  51.   7. Register! (see REGISTER.DOC)
